The SCC Certificate Program is the Society of Cosmetic Chemists’ latest model of cosmetic science education.

According to SCC, the Certificate in Skin Care program utilizes a flexible combination of in-person and online courses (both live and on-demand), hands-on laboratory work and participant testing to reinforce key concepts and retention.

Participants will complete three required courses during the introductory portion of the program, including a general industry overview, an introduction to the structure and function of the skin, including instruction on the fundamentals of cosmetic chemistry and product formulation techniques.

Program participants will also take three additional elective courses, allowing them to focus on the skin care areas most important to them. 

The Certificate in Skin Care program runs through Spring 2025. The course calendar is now available.
